I went a little pom pom crazy for our project with Hobb's NW3 Spitalfield's store. Having researched British Equestrianism as part of the brand's heritage I made 'pom pom' rosettes. This is the product of roughly 16 Bundles of wool in comparison to your average size pom pom!
I took some sneaky pics at the Louise Bourgeois exhibition at the Freud Museum last week. Other than the psychoanalytical side to her work (been having some strange dreams lately) I'm always drawn to the fabrics and forms- boobies made from beret's! Theres some interesting film screenings going on at the Museum too so I may head back for more.
Last week I went to a casting at Antipodium and had a little peak around the studio. Their S/S 12 collection (currently in Liberty's) is inspired by the 1978 Woody Allen film 'Interiors' and they collaborate with print designers each season. More of a reason to love it! This collection features Daniel Mcilwrath's lace, Miriam Ivanoff's cats and dog prints and a patchwork design by Ian Hundley using Liberty prints.
Yesterday I had a little mooch around the Natural History Museum's Herbarium. Files upon files of specimens! Got to go back when I know exactly what I'm looking for.
